The case against social media automation

So this happened. State Farm posted a tweet to remind peeps to protect their bling:

It was followed by nonsense responses from internet trolls screaming ‘Oy, gevalt!’ on how dare State Farm use that kind of a photo. It was also followed by an automated tweet by Geico along the lines of: “Hi, you can receive a free quote online”. #KByeThx. Needless to say not everyone was happy with the automated tweet, which was sent via Sprinklr, a social media management platform targeting enterprises that look to connect their business with any and all social channels….So Geico apologized.

To end on a good tweet.

Yes, love wins.
