State Farm invests in EMBERPOINT

State Farm  has invested in EMBERPOINT, a wildfire intelligence company developing tools to help firefighters and emergency responders coordinate their response to wildfires.

The insurer joins Lockheed Martin, PG&E Corporation, Salesforce and Wells Fargo as investors. The investment will support technology designed to connect information across systems, agencies and jurisdictions, helping responders assess conditions and deploy resources when wildfires threaten communities.

EMBERPOINT’s development priorities include near-real-time wildfire perimeter mapping, resource allocation and integrated decision support. An advisory council of former fire chiefs helps guide product development around operational needs.
