GEICO expands pet insurance partners

GEICO Insurance Agency  has long routed pet insurance leads to Embrace Pet Insurance Agency. That appears to be changing.

Agency licensing records identified MetLife as a GEICO partner as of September. Based on our testing across different ZIP codes, GEICO continues to route pet insurance leads to Embrace but also directs customers to MetLife and Liberty Mutual.

A co-branded GEICO Insurance Agency and MetLife Pet Insurance quote page promotes customizable coverage, reimbursement of up to 90%, access to any licensed veterinarian in the US, and plans starting at less than $1 per day. Customers can enter their pet’s details for pricing or contact a pet advocate by phone.

The MetLife offering raises questions about GEICO’s relationship with Embrace, but comes as little surprise given GEICO’s recent switch in life insurance partners.
