GEICO relocates headquarters to downtown Bethesda
GEICO has officially relocated its headquarters to downtown Bethesda, Maryland, moving about two miles from its longtime office in Friendship Heights.
The insurer now occupies six floors at The Wilson, a building at 7272 Wisconsin Avenue, featuring flexible workspaces, collaboration areas, and employee amenities including a rooftop terrace. The office also includes nods to the company’s history and mascot, such as a Lego Gecko sculpture and a timeline marking GEICO’s 90-year history.
GEICO, a Berkshire Hathaway company and the third-largest U.S. auto insurer, was founded in 1936 and writes personal auto insurance nationwide, while offering other personal lines through its agency business.
Bottom Line: “Doors fit for a Gecko.”
