Lemonade launches renters insurance in Kansas

Lemonade has expanded its renters insurance offering to Kansas, with policies starting at $5 a month.

The digital insurer said Kansas customers can quote, buy, manage policies, and file claims through its app. Lemonade said about 40% of claims are handled instantly and that its renters rates are about 30% below the national average, based on company and industry data.

Customers may qualify for additional savings by bundling policies, using qualifying home-safety devices, or selecting annual billing.
