Howden acquires Cybeta to strengthen cyber insurance capabilities
Howden has acquired the intellectual property assets of Cybeta , adding data-driven cyber risk modeling and threat intelligence capabilities to its U.S. platform.
Cybeta, founded in 2019 by data scientists with backgrounds in U.S. defense and intelligence, developed tools to predict and prevent cyber attacks. As part of the deal, members of the Cybeta team will join Howden, bringing expertise in cyber threat monitoring and predictive analytics.

The acquisition builds on Howden’s U.S. cyber practice launched earlier this year, enhancing its ability to support clients across underwriting, placement, claims, and risk consulting. The Cybeta platform enables real-time cyber risk profiling, helping clients improve insurability and make more informed coverage decisions.
“We are investing aggressively in data, analytics, and cyber expertise, all aligned to clients’ most pressing concerns. Cybeta technology adds to that triple threat, deepening our capability to deliver meaningful insights with the urgency clients feel when it comes to cyber risk. Sector bellwethers like Juliet White and Ron Borys – who was instrumental in making this acquisition happen – are building a truly differentiated offering for clients. Much more innovation comes from these leaders and Howden’s Cyber practice.” – Mike Parrish, CEO, Howden Americas.
