It’s a known fact that GEICO offers more than just auto insurance, via its GEICO Insurance Agency. It’s also a known fact that GEICO has established relationships with select players to which it passes on different insurance leads. So while, homeowners, renters, and condo insurance is handled via the GEICO Insurance Agency, Collector Auto is handled via Assurant and American Modern Insurance Group, Flood via Assurant Special Property, Life insurance via Life Quotes, Pet insurance via Embrace, Travel via Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection, and GL, PL, and Business Owner’s via Hiscox; to name more than a few.

In other words, a customer visiting GEICO.com can end up purchasing renters insurance from Travelers, or small business insurance from Hiscox. Hold that thought. Last year, Berkshire Hathaway launched biBERK, its D2C brand offering general liability, small business, work comp and commercial auto insurance. Clearly, one must wonder, when will GEICO begin to favor biBERK over Hiscox?
