GEICO files trademark for Pest Shield Coverage
GEICO has filed a trademark application for “GEICO Pest Shield Coverage,” a name used for coverage against pest damage to recreational vehicles.
Filed October 26, 2026, the application lists January 27, 2026, as the date of first use in commerce. It remains pending and has not yet been assigned to an examiner.

GEICO already lists Pest Shield Coverage on its RV insurance website, describing protection against damage from rodents, insects or vermin. The company also advertises Roof Advantage Coverage, which pays to repair or replace an RV’s roof, including wear and tear and related damage.
As previously reported by ERRRA, GEICO recently loosened eligibility requirements for several RV coverages in Texas, allowing customers to purchase Pest Shield, Roof Advantage and other protections without collision coverage, provided they maintain comprehensive coverage.
