Fuse Advances to Quarter-Finals of Pepperdine University’s 2026 Most Fundable Companies® Competition

New York, NY — April 6, 2026 — Fuse, the AI-powered intelligence synthesis platform for commercial insurance, today announced it has advanced to the Quarter-Finals of Pepperdine University’s 2026 Most Fundable Companies® competition, administered by the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. The competition evaluates startups across the United States on fundability, growth prospects, and investor readiness, with finalists featured at the Most Fundable Companies Showcase in Malibu, California in September and recognized in Entrepreneur Magazine.

The selection marks the first external recognition for Fuse’s intelligence synthesis platform since the company brought it out of stealth in Q1 2026 — the culmination of two years of development toward a fundamentally new category of market intelligence for the commercial insurance industry.

A New Category of Intelligence for Commercial Insurance

Commercial insurance has historically operated on relationships, instinct, and fragmented data. Fuse changes the information layer entirely. The platform continuously ingests dozens of live signals — including SERFF rate filings, carrier appetite shifts, Lloyd’s combined operating ratio movements, NOAA weather risk data, CME commodity prices, and USDA RMA indicators — and synthesizes them into market intelligence that no single source could produce alone.

The result is not a feed or a dashboard. Fuse delivers a prioritized daily action list to brokers and carriers across industry verticals — telling users what is happening in their market, why it matters, and exactly what to do about it. A dedicated Reinsurance Intelligence Hub serves facultative and treaty markets with the same synthesis approach applied to reinsurance-specific signals including Lloyd’s COR trends, cat bond data, AM Best ratings activity, and EDGAR filings.

“The intelligence Fuse produces doesn’t exist anywhere else,” said Sean Bourgeois, Founder and CEO of Fuse. “We are not aggregating data — we are synthesizing it into something new. When SERFF filings, drought indicators, carrier posture, and commodity prices converge, Fuse continuously reads that convergence and produces an insight and an action that no individual signal could generate on its own. That is a fundamentally different product than anything currently available to commercial insurance brokers and carriers.”

About the Most Fundable Companies® Competition

Now in its tenth year, Pepperdine University’s Most Fundable Companies® competition is one of the most rigorous startup evaluation programs in the United States. Administered by Craig R. Everett, PhD, of the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, the competition assesses companies across dimensions including market opportunity, competitive differentiation, team strength, financial position, and investor readiness. Companies advancing to the final list receive national recognition including publication in Entrepreneur Magazine and a featured presentation at the annual Showcase event.

Fuse intends to be on that list.
