Ardonagh acquires majority stake in Hong Kong broker RMIB

The Ardonagh Group  has acquired a majority stake in Hong Kong-based Risk Management Insurance Brokerage Limited (RMIB), continuing its expansion across Asia.

Founded in 1996, RMIB provides advisory services across employee benefits, property and casualty, transport risks, and international programs, serving both corporate and individual clients. The firm is led by directors Bie Tong and Danny Yao, who will remain in place and work with Ardonagh to support growth and deepen insurer relationships.

RMIB will join Ardonagh’s existing Hong Kong operations, which include PSC HK, Apex Insurance, Charter Gilman Insurance Brokers, Charter-Union Insurance, and Trans-Pacific Insurance Brokers. The addition strengthens the group’s regional capabilities in employee benefits and specialist risk advisory.

Ardonagh, a global independent distribution platform with more than 10,000 employees across 30+ countries, acquired the PSC Hong Kong portfolio as part of its 2024 purchase of PSC Insurance Group.
