Ardonagh launches pan-European MGA platform Orvia

The Ardonagh Group has launched Orvia Underwriting, a new pan-European managing general agent platform that consolidates several Ardonagh-owned MGAs across London and continental Europe.

Headquartered in Dublin, Orvia brings together a portfolio exceeding €250 million in gross written premium and more than 20 product lines, spanning financial lines, cyber, trade credit, property and casualty, specialty risks, and high-net-worth segments including fine art and jewellery. The platform is designed to centralize underwriting expertise while leveraging Ardonagh’s existing distribution network and insurer relationships.

The trade credit and cyber business of Cooper Gay Germany is the first MGA to transition to the Orvia brand, with additional Ardonagh MGAs in London and other European markets expected to join throughout 2026.

Ardonagh positions Orvia as a strategic step toward building a scaled European underwriting business, with a focus on specialist products, faster underwriting decisions, and long-term capacity partnerships to support sustainable growth and new product development.
