Ardonagh brings in Marsh UK CEO Chris Lay to support next phase

The Ardonagh Group has appointed Chris Lay as Operating Partner within its Ardonagh Capital Partners unit, adding him to the group executive as it sharpens strategy across its portfolio.

Lay will focus on group strategy and work across Ardonagh’s collection of businesses, bringing four decades of industry experience, including his most recent role as CEO of Marsh UK from 2018 to 2026.

The move adds a senior operator with global experience across the UK, EMEA, and North America, as Ardonagh continues to scale its platform and integrate its growing portfolio of distribution assets.

Lay also serves as chair of the London Market Group and holds roles with Insurance United Against Dementia and Convex Group.
