Zurich Appoints Blanca Berruguete Global Relationship Leader of its Business Unit

Zurich Seguros announces the appointment of Blanca Berruguete as Global Relationship Leader of the Zurich Empresas unit. Her responsibility is to manage the relationships with the large corporate clients of the insurer, in large part companies with a global presence that operate in several countries. Blanca has more than 16 years of experience in the insurance sector, where she has worked for global companies such as AIG, Coface, Assicurazioni Generali, Heath Lambert Group, Lloyd’s or Arthur J Gallagher.

 

 

The appointment of Blanca reinforces the structure in Spain of Zurich Empresas, and its functions include the creation and management of relations with corporate clients of Zurich Seguros to increase the capture of large accounts and retain existing clients. Blanca Berruguete will also be responsible for detecting, analyzing and taking advantage of the new opportunities for commercial development in the business insurance segment and for supervising customer service processes to guarantee maximum satisfaction.

 

Law degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Blanca Berruguete completed her training in Switzerland and the United Kingdom before starting her professional career in 2001 in the Coface group. Subsequently, and after joining Zurich Seguros, Blanca developed her professional underwriting and mediation career in companies such as Assicurazioni Generali, Lloyd’s, Arthur J. Gallagher, and AIG, where in her last stage she was Director of Clients and Brokers.

 

Leader in insurance for companies
Zurich Spain is the insurer of 85% of the companies of the Ibex and aims for the coming years to extend its leadership as an insurer of large companies, to the SME market, and thus pass the market share of 4% current to 8% by 2020 in this market. For Vicente Cancio, CEO of Zurich in Spain, “the intention is to provide small and medium-sized Spanish companies with coverages that until now were only available to large companies.”
