You Can Now Buy Travel Insurance at the Airport

AXA Partners has partnered with Silver Arrow Systems (SA Systems) to launch self-serve kiosks that allow travelers to buy insurance at an airport or government visa center on demand.

The kiosks have been installed in several airports and visa centers across the UK, allowing customers to take out travel insurance before they board a plane, or buy coverage that is compulsory for a visa to be granted. The companies plan to expand the initiative across the UK and globally.

In 2015, UK travel insurance provider Columbus Direct partnered with SA Systems for a 3-month project to install kiosks at Gatwick airport. According to a case study by SA Systems, the company saw an average of 8,000 monthly interactions across 7 machines with an average conversion rate of 7%.
