The Grass Really Is Greener

Achmea-backed Centraal Beheer, one of the largest insurance companies in the Netherlands, has introduced the first Do-It-Yourself store in Amsterdam.

The Idea – a pop-up shop (that complements an online presence) that was open between Jan. 23-26 to allow folks to carry out their DIY tasks with the help of the insurer. Fees apply.

“With this Do-it-Yourself store we want to introduce more Dutch people to our new Klushulp service. This means that everyone, both customer and non-customer, can quickly find a reliable professional for jobs in and around the house. This new service fits in the course of Centraal Beheer to offer services in addition to insurance to always continue to help customers and not customers. The period of good intentions fits in well with this, because we know through our research that many jobs remain long. Allow yourself the convenience of having these jobs done by us, then you will not have to worry about this yourself.” – Business Line Services Manager at Centraal Beheer, Linda Nieuwenhuizen.

Bottom Line: Because – not surprisingly – ‘hanging lamps’ is a trending ‘to-do’ list item.
