SSQ Insurance is Now Offering Telemedicine Services

SSQ Insurance, the sixth largest life insurer in Canada, recently announced its partnership with Dialogue to offer its employees and insureds telemedicine services. The services offered by this application include access by chatting to nurses, video consultation with general practitioners, issuing and renewing prescriptions in addition to referral to specialists .

This is the same SSQ Insurance that not so long ago was referred to as SSQ Financial Group. Then it rebranded…to reiterate the fact that the company “has been motivated by an unparalleled sense of solidarity since its creation in 1944.”

“We have been working closely with Dialogue since March 2017 to analyze the best way to integrate the platform in a group insurance context. We have confirmed the relevance of this service to employers and are convinced of the benefits for both employers and their employees” – Vice President Strategy and Innovation at SSQ Insurance, Louis Régimbal.

Speaking of Dialogue, earlier this month it announced a $12M Series A round led by White Star Capital. “More than 25,000 employees and their families now have access to Dialogue across Canada, and the company provided more than 10,000 health consultations last year. Which is only a small fraction of a large market opportunity.”  This round brings Dialogue‘s total funding to date to $16M.
