Sedgwick takes full ownership of Dutch injury assistance JV

Sedgwick  has acquired the remaining minority stake in Dé Letselschade Hulpdienst (LSHD), taking full ownership of the Netherlands-based personal injury assistance provider after more than a decade as a joint venture.

The stake was purchased from Raasveld Holding, giving Sedgwick full control of a business that supports injured individuals immediately following an accident.

Founded in 2016, LSHD combines claims management with early-stage care services, offering transportation, in-home medical and domestic support, pet care, and coordination with other providers during the initial weeks after an incident.

Sedgwick said the move strengthens its position in the Netherlands and allows it to further address gaps in the early stages of the claims and recovery process, where coordination and timely support can influence outcomes.
