Sapiens names new leadership team
Sapiens has announced a series of leadership appointments following the closing of its acquisition by private equity firm Advent, completing the company’s transition to a privately held business. With the deal finalized on December 17, 2025, Sapiens’ shares have ceased trading on Nasdaq and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, with Advent becoming the majority owner and Formula retaining a minority stake.
After two decades at the helm, longtime CEO and President Roni Al-Dor will step down at the end of the year. The board has appointed Advent Operating Partner Mike Ettling as Executive Chairman and interim CEO while it searches for a permanent chief executive. Sapiens also named Paul Wheeler as CFO, Ernesto Marinelli as Chief People Success Officer, and James Hannay as Chief Revenue Officer, alongside new Chief Customer Officer roles across its Life & Pensions and Property & Casualty businesses.
