Sapiens names Paul Wheeler CEO

Sapiens has appointed Paul Wheeler as chief executive officer, succeeding interim CEO Mike Ettling, who will continue as executive chairman.

Wheeler, who joined Sapiens as CFO in December 2025, takes over as the company accelerates its transition to an AI-native insurance software provider.

The leadership change follows several AI-focused initiatives, including the launch of Sapiens’ Insurance Agentification program, the opening of its AI Customer Experience Lab in London, and a minority investment from a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).
