Ping An activates emergency task force following fatal US traffic accident
Ping An has launched an overseas emergency assistance program following a deadly collision near Yellowstone National Park on May 1, which killed five and injured eight Chinese nationals. The company activated its Level 2 emergency response protocol and formed the “502 Emergency Assistance Task Force,” led by Co-CEO Michael Guo, to support those affected—even non-policyholders.
Ping An’s response includes expedited claims processing, medical aid, and direct compensation services through its life, health, P&C, and pension units. As of May 3, no Ping An policyholders have been identified among the victims. A dedicated emergency hotline (+86 755 95511) has been opened for assistance.
