ManhattanLife adds Specified Disease Rider to its Affordable Choice plan
ManhattanLife Group has added a new Specified Disease Rider to its Affordable Choice hospital indemnity plan in select states, giving policyholders an additional financial buffer against serious medical conditions. The rider is designed to integrate with Affordable Choice and provide supplemental protection for high cost events such as cancer, heart attack, major organ failure, and other acute illnesses.
The rider covers 14 specified conditions, offers four deductible options from 25,000 to 100,000, and two annual maximums of 250,000 or 500,000. Coverage is available for individuals, couples, and families, with family pricing including up to four children. Issue ages run from 18 to 64 with a streamlined application process.
The product is now available in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Nevada, Oklahoma, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, with additional states to follow as approvals are received.
ManhattanLife positions the rider as a differentiated offering with higher annual maximums than many competitors, a dual layer protection structure that pays one hundred percent of charges after the deductible, and integration with Affordable Choice benefits such as cancer payments, surgery benefits, and hospital admission coverage. Members also gain access to telemedicine, prescription discounts, and network pricing for labs and imaging through partnered vendors.
