Inszone acquires Webtec Insurance Services

Inszone Insurance  has acquired Webtec Insurance Services, a personal lines agency specializing in auto and homeowners coverage, the Sacramento-based brokerage said Thursday.

Webtec was founded more than 40 years ago in California and later moved its base to Colorado, though California remains the bulk of its book. The family-run agency’s founder cited retirement planning, staff retention, and the need for stronger infrastructure as reasons for the deal. Existing staff will stay on.

The acquisition extends Inszone’s personal lines footprint in California and Colorado. Founded in 2002, Inszone now operates in 24 states and has signaled further expansion. Terms were not disclosed.
