Huckleberry launches Huckleberry for Business
Small business insurance provider Huckleberry has launched Huckleberry for Business, an embedded insurance solution that enables partners to offer insurance with “just a few lines of code.”
In June, we shared an update with Coverager Research members about the startup, which raised $22 million.
Huckleberry had been talking about raising a Series B funding round last year but after a few months, management said that they are focused on “partnerships” instead of another round of financing, which can explain this new solution. There were also some rumors that Huckleberry might pivot to provide software to agencies.
According to our sources, Huckleberry has been dealing with some challenges. The startup focuses on contractors and landscapers and aside from profitability issues, it has also been dealing with retention and non-payment issues.
Huckleberry last raised $18 million in December 2019.
