Cincinnati Insurance CIO John Kellington to retire

Cincinnati Insurance announced that John Kellington, chief information officer and executive vice president, will retire on August 7 after 16 years with the company.

Kellington joined Cincinnati Insurance in 2010 and led a transformation of the insurer’s technology operations, championing an architecture-led IT model that supported the expansion of agency interface capabilities, including real-time download and upload functionality within agency management systems. The approach also contributed to the development of the company’s small business platform powered by Cinergy.

Ryan Osborn, currently vice president of Information Technology, will assume executive responsibility for the company’s IT teams. Osborn joined Cincinnati Insurance in 2000 and has held leadership roles focused on enterprise architecture, modernization initiatives, and the implementation of Agile and DevOps practices.
