Assurant acquires OptoFidelity’s mobile device testing portfolio

Assurant has acquired the mobile device test automation technology portfolio of OptoFidelity , a Finnish company specializing in optical metrology systems. The acquisition expands Assurant’s automation and robotics capabilities across its Device Care Centers, allowing the company to process and refurbish more devices in-house with greater precision and speed.

The integration of OptoFidelity’s systems enhances Assurant’s ability to scale its certified pre-owned device operations across iOS and Android while maintaining high quality and efficiency. The move supports Assurant’s broader Connected Living strategy to increase circularity and value creation for partners through advanced testing and refurbishment technology.

Assurant will also collaborate with FutureDial, OptoFidelity’s leading customer, to ensure continuity and support for existing and new clients.
