Zurich Klinc stops selling insurance
Klinc , Zurich’s digital insurance brand launched in Spain in 2018, has stopped offering device and home insurance, according to customer notices and a public response from the company.
In a July 22, 2026 response published through Spanish consumer organization OCU, Klinc confirmed that it had stopped offering device insurance following a general review of its products. The response followed a complaint from a customer who received a nonrenewal notice on June 1, with coverage ending August 1. Other customers reported receiving similar notices earlier in 2026.
Home insurance customers also reported notices stating that Klinc had stopped selling their coverage. A July 9 customer post said no products were available to purchase through the app and that Klinc’s website redirected to its help center. An official date for a full brand closure has not been confirmed.
Zurich launched Klinc in July 2018 with on-demand coverage for mobile phones, tablets and laptops, allowing customers to turn protection on and off. The brand subsequently expanded into other categories and markets, including France in 2020, and absorbed Zurich’s digital auto insurance brand doppo in 2021.
In December 2021, Klinc added home insurance “designed for millennials,” offering digital purchasing and policy management for homeowners, renters, roommates and holiday homes. Customers could also choose their own repair professional following a covered claim.
