GTCR and Elliott to acquire CCC in $6.1 billion deal

CCC Intelligent Solutions  has agreed to be acquired by a consortium led by GTCR and including Elliott Investment Management in an all-cash transaction valuing the business at approximately $6.1 billion, including debt.

Shareholders will receive $7.75 per share, a 44% premium to CCC’s closing price on July 9, 2026, the last trading day before media speculation about a potential sale.

Chicago-based CCC provides software and AI tools for insurance claims and vehicle repairs, connecting more than 35,000 businesses, including insurers, repair shops, automakers, and parts suppliers. The buyers plan to support investment in product development and AI capabilities, expand CCC’s offerings, and grow its network.

CCC’s board approved the deal following a review of strategic options. Closing is expected in the first quarter of 2027, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. The transaction is not subject to a financing condition.

Upon completion, CCC will become privately held and its shares will be delisted from Nasdaq.
