Allianz Partners launches travel cover platform for banks and loyalty programs

Allianz Partners  has launched Metaportal, a digital travel insurance platform for banking and loyalty partners in Australia that lets customers activate and manage coverage online and purchase optional upgrades.

Partners can offer a preset level of coverage, while customers can add protection for cruises, snow sports and adventure travel, increase cancellation limits, extend trip durations or reduce excess levels.

The launch comes as Australian financial institutions reassess customer benefits in response to regulatory reforms affecting interchange revenue and card payment economics, according to Allianz Partners.

Banks and loyalty providers can configure coverage and benefits for different customer segments and integrate the platform into their own branded digital channels. Allianz Partners says the technology is designed to support reusable integrations and expansion into additional products and industries.
