Allianz names new CEOs for Allianz Partners and Allianz Direct

Allianz has appointed Philipp Kroetz as CEO of Allianz Partners and Laurent Floquet as CEO of Allianz Direct, effective November 1, 2026, subject to regulatory approval.

Kroetz, who has led Allianz Direct since 2022, will succeed Tomas Kunzmann, who joins the Allianz SE Board of Management on January 1, 2027. Floquet currently serves as chief operating officer of Allianz Partners. His successor will be announced later.

Under Kroetz, Allianz Direct nearly doubled its customer base to more than 3.2 million across five European markets. The business reported more than €1.5 billion in business volume in 2025, up 23% year over year, with a 95% combined ratio. Its technology initiatives include AI-powered claims settlement within 60 seconds and indicative pricing through ChatGPT.

Floquet has been Allianz Partners’ COO since January 2025, overseeing AI voice agents and automated claims handling across roadside assistance, travel and medical cases. He joined Allianz in 2014 after spending more than a decade at Accenture.

The appointments support Allianz’s Connected Platforms strategy, which combines AI-enabled technology with its global service networks across motor, home, travel, assistance and health.
