Jon Hancock to retire from AIG

AIG General Insurance CEO Jon Hancock will retire from the role and become a senior advisor effective Dec. 31, 2026.

In the advisory role, Hancock will report to AIG president and CEO Eric Andersen and support select growth initiatives, underwriting strategy and leadership development. He will also remain on the boards of Talbot Underwriting, AIG UK and Tata AIG General Insurance Company.

Hancock joined AIG in 2020 as CEO of International Insurance and was appointed CEO of General Insurance in 2025. Before AIG, he spent four years as director of performance management at Lloyd’s and 26 years in senior roles at RSA.

AIG did not announce a successor.
