Sierra Signorelli returns to AIG to lead Americas and global personal insurance

AIG has appointed Sierra Signorelli CEO of Americas and Global Personal Insurance, effective January 1, 2027.

She will oversee AIG’s commercial insurance businesses in North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean, as well as its global personal insurance business. Signorelli will report to AIG President and CEO Eric Andersen and join the executive leadership team.

Signorelli returns to AIG from Zurich, where she served on the executive committee and held roles including CEO of U.S. operations, CEO of Commercial Insurance, and group chief underwriting officer. Earlier in her career, she spent 17 years at AIG, including as global chief underwriting officer for specialty lines.

The appointment follows AIG’s announcement that General Insurance CEO Jon Hancock will retire from that role at the end of 2026 and become a senior advisor.
