Corgi looks to expand into life and health insurance
Corgi appears to be expanding beyond property and casualty insurance into life and health products.
The insurer is hiring a Life and Health Actuary to build its actuarial function across employee benefits and supplemental insurance. The role covers pricing, reserving, valuation, product development, regulatory filings, reinsurance and actuarial opinions.
Potential products include group life, accidental death and dismemberment, disability, accident, hospital indemnity, specified disease, critical illness, dental and vision coverage. Corgi lists current or recent experience at Aflac , or a comparable supplemental health or benefits carrier, as a preferred qualification.
Corgi currently focuses on commercial insurance for startups and recently entered trucking insurance through a program with Trucker Path Insurance.
Bottom Line: Too bad CorgiLife.com is already taken.
