Lemonade reports Q2 2026 results
Lemonade released its Q2 2026 results, ending the quarter with 3,308,666 customers, a 23% year-over-year increase. The company added ~166k customers to its overall count during the quarter.
In-force premium was $1.43 billion, an increase of 32% compared to the same period last year.
Premium per customer stood at $433, 8% higher compared to Q2 2025.
The company spent $78 million on sales and marketing during the quarter compared to $60 million in Q2 2025.
Lemonade reported a net loss of $43 million in the quarter, compared to $44 million in Q2 2025, which included a $12 million favorable impact of a one-time ERC tax refund.
The company’s cash, cash equivalents, and investments totaled ~$1.2 billion at June 30, 2026. $330 million is required to be held as regulatory surplus at Lemonade’s insurance subsidiaries.
