Inszone acquires 111-year-old Massachusetts agency

Inszone Insurance announced the acquisition of Sanford, Bruker & Banks, an independent insurance agency founded in 1915.

Based in Massachusetts, Sanford, Bruker & Banks has operated for more than a century, serving personal and commercial clients while developing a niche focus on small and artisan contractors. The agency has been led by Jeffrey Banks, who said succession planning became increasingly important as he looked to preserve the firm’s legacy.

Following the transaction, the agency’s employees will remain in place and continue serving clients under Inszone’s ownership. Clients will also gain access to Inszone’s broader carrier network, technology, and operational resources.

The deal adds another long-established agency to Inszone’s growing acquisition portfolio, reflecting the continued wave of succession-driven consolidation across the independent agency channel as aging owners seek partners to ensure continuity for employees and customers.
