Zurich hikes occupational accident benefits for independent truckers

Zurich North America  has increased benefit limits in its Occupational Accident insurance program for independent contractors in the trucking industry.

The enhancements include a 50% increase in the combined single program and Accident Medical Benefit limit, up to a 60% increase in disability benefits, and higher payouts for ambulance, dental, mental health, and truck payment expenses. The move is designed to address inflation-driven gaps in coverage that have eroded the value of longstanding benefit levels across the industry.

The company said stronger benefits not only provide better protection for drivers but also support satisfaction and retention for trucking companies that rely on them.
