Zurich joins SuretyBind
SuretyBind announced that Zurich has joined the company as an associate member, adding another major insurer to the industry initiative focused on modernizing surety infrastructure.
SuretyBind was launched in December 2025 by Chubb, The Hartford, Liberty Mutual, and Travelers as a shared technology platform for the surety industry. The company plans to build data transmission infrastructure connecting sureties, brokers, and other market participants while also supporting digital bond execution and fraud reduction. The platform is expected to begin offering services in 2027.
“Zurich represents the latest leading surety that recognizes the value and power of the industry-leading technology we are building to improve the performance of the entire industry. We welcome them to the SuretyBind family.” – Dhakshina Kasthuri, Chief Technology Officer of SuretyBind.
“We at Zurich are excited to support SuretyBind’s work to modernize how the surety industry connects and serves customers — starting with more streamlined data exchange. Participation in SuretyBind reflects our commitment to help move the industry forward in a thoughtful, collaborative way.” – Kelly Kinzer, President – Global Head of Construction & Surety for Zurich.
“Surety has long relied on relationship-driven execution supported by largely manual processes. Enhancing surety technology infrastructure has the potential to reduce friction and create a more efficient experience for brokers, sureties and customers alike.” – Brent McAllister, Global Head of Underwriting for Surety at Zurich.
