Zurich partners with METRO Germany
Zurich Group Germany has partnered with German wholesale retailer METRO AG to launch “GastroSchutz”, a modular insurance cover that was developed by Zurich exclusively for METRO customers.
Metro AG’s main customer groups are Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, and Cafes, as well as catering companies, canteen operators, and street food vendors. Traders include smaller grocery stores, kiosks, petrol stations as well as other wholesalers, where Metro AG serves as a large wholesaler for others.

When designing the modular security package, the focus was on the special needs and framework conditions of the catering industry. The scope of the “GastroSchutz” includes the following security modules: business liability, content insurance, private liability, loss of earnings insurance, glass insurance, electronics insurance, machine insurance, legal protection, elementary insurance and business closure. The offer calculation for “GastroSchutz” is done online with just ‘a few clicks’.
