YuLife is building a team for the Japanese market

Last October, Japanese life insurer Dai-ichi Life announced a pilot program with life insurance startup YuLife. As part of the pilot, Dai-ichi Life will provide test users with the YuLife app, which equips employees with an engagement program that incentivizes wellbeing initiatives and rewards “healthy living.”

About a year prior to the pilot announcement, YuLife raised $120 million in a Series C round led by Dai-ichi, which looked to help the startup scale its global operations.

Now, YuLife is building a team for the Japanese market as it looks to offer its product to the general market. The startup has multiple openings for sales, marketing, and content roles.

YuLife also has operations in the UK, US and South Africa.

For the year ending in June 30, 2022, the startup generated £38.6 million in written premiums while reporting a net loss of £16.2 million.
