WTW powers Thimble pricing

WTW’s Radar Live has been selected by Thimble to support commercial lines pricing. The platform will help Thimble update rates more quickly, adjust to market changes, and scale its short-term liability products.

WTW worked with Thimble to enhance its existing proprietary technology, constructing a pricing engine with the stability to support rapid growth for the digital-first business. As a result of this collaboration, Thimble achieved full self-sufficiency, with Radar Live enabling its pricing team to derive valuable insights from a wide range of data sources and machine learning models in real time, from a single platform.

“Thimble is a best‑in‑class digital platform for small businesses, and we are pleased to support its growth with Radar Live. Our pricing technology enables faster responses to market change, real‑time risk assessment, and stronger governance – helping them improve margins while delivering better outcomes for customers.” – Farah Ismail, Head of Commercial Lines, North America, Insurance Consulting and Technology, WTW.

“As a fast-growing digital MGA, we need a pricing platform that could scale with our business. Radar Live from WTW provides the reliability, governance, and flexibility required to reduce the time and cost of rate implementation, improve speed to market, and ultimately deliver better outcomes for our customers.” – Ian Westerman, President at Thimble.

As a side note, Thimble is generating more traffic than Insureon, with ~425K visits vs. ~340K, stronger engagement (longer sessions, more pages per visit, lower bounce rate), and a heavier reliance on paid search. Insureon leans more on organic and referral traffic, but overall user engagement is weaker.
