World Insurance Associates acquires Bafumi Insurance Agency

World Insurance Associates  has acquired Bafumi Insurance Agency, a Middletown, Connecticut-based P&C and life and health agency, effective August 1, 2025. Terms were not disclosed.

The deal adds a local, multi-line retail agency to World’s expanding footprint in the Northeast. Bafumi serves clients across Connecticut and will now operate under World, gaining access to a broader set of products and services.

Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla served as legal counsel to World, with Sica Fletcher advising on the transaction. Andros, Floyd & Miller, P.C. provided legal counsel to Bafumi, and Philo Smith Securities acted as its financial advisor. No additional advisors were listed.
