Westfield appoints Lloyd Scholz as Enterprise CIO
Westfield Insurance has named Lloyd Scholz as its Enterprise Chief Information Officer, reporting to CEO and Board Chair Ed Largent. Scholz will lead the insurer’s technology, data, and analytics strategy as Westfield continues to grow and expand internationally.
Scholz joins from Markel, where he served as CTO and oversaw global modernization efforts across architecture, cloud, software engineering, data, and AI. Before that, he spent 16 years at Capital One in senior roles focused on data engineering and large-scale tech transformation.
Westfield created the Enterprise CIO role as part of its push to strengthen technology leadership and support its broader P&C portfolio and diversification efforts.
“Technology is central to how we execute our strategy ─ serving customers and distribution partners and enabling our growing portfolio of businesses around the world. Lloyd brings deep experience in large-scale modernization, data strategy, and complex organizational transformation. His leadership will help us accelerate and unlock more value from our technology investments and further position IT as a strategic business partner.” – Largent.
