Voya Investment Management announces leadership changes

Voya Investment Management, the asset management arm of Voya Financial , announced several leadership changes effective July 1, 2025, as part of its ongoing strategy to strengthen investment capabilities.

  • Eric Stein has been promoted to Chief Investment Officer, overseeing all asset classes including fixed income, equities, alternatives, and multi-asset strategies.

  • Jeff Hobbs will become CIO of Fixed Income, consolidating public and private fixed income under his leadership while continuing to manage insurance portfolios.

  • Chris Lyons (Private Fixed Income and Alternatives) and Vincent Costa (Equities) will retire by year-end 2025 and September 30, respectively.

  • James Lydotes, formerly Deputy CIO at Newton Investment Management, will join as CIO of Equities on September 2, 2025.

The changes reflect Voya’s efforts to transition leadership and build long-term growth under a unified investment structure.
