Vero launches pay-per-mile insurance for Uber drivers

Suncorp-owned Vero has partnered with Uber and Cover Genius to launch “Australia’s first” rideshare dedicated pay-per-mile insurance for drivers.

The new product brings private and Uber driving together under a single policy, combining a fixed premium for private use with a rideshare premium based on miles driven on the Uber platform.

The policy includes coverage for vehicle damage, theft or loss of the vehicle while it is being used privately or for Uber rideshare driving. Eligible drivers can apply for the insurance directly through the Uber Driver app.
