Ventis expands underwriting team

UK real estate MGA Ventis Insurance  has appointed Holly Ivall as Lead Trading SME Underwriter and promoted Zoe Hughes to Senior Underwriter, as the Mission-backed business continues to build out its underwriting team.

Ivall will lead referrals generated through the Acturis platform and oversee Ventis’ 30-minute Acturis referral service level, with responsibility for new business and monitoring inbound deal flow. She reports to Ventis CEO Gareth Roberts.

Hughes, who has been with Ventis for two years, steps into the Senior Underwriter role with responsibility for managing the MGA’s existing book across the UK and Ireland, including renewals and mid-term adjustments under agreed service levels. She was named Rising Star of the Year at the 2025 MGAA Awards and Young Achiever of the Year at the Insurance Institute of Mid Kent Awards.

Ventis is backed by Mission Underwriting and focuses on commercial and residential real estate risks.
