UNest adds Ladder life insurance offering

Back in 2025, we shared with Coverager Research subscribers that UNest Assurance Insurance Agency had been appointed by Amica.

A look at the UNest app today suggests how that appointment may be put to use.

UNest, a college savings platform for families, now promotes Ladder within its app, allowing users to obtain a term life insurance quote as part of the experience. Ladder is appointed with Amica, making it likely that Amica is the underlying carrier supporting this embedded distribution channel.

Life insurance is not new to UNest.

The company previously partnered with Haven Life, offering members a $5 contribution to a child’s UNest savings account for requesting a term life insurance quote, while existing Haven Life policyholders received a $25 investment into their UNest account. UNest has also worked with Avibra and Wysh to bring insurance-related offerings to its users.
