Thimble launches ChatGPT integration for commercial insurance quotes

Small business insurance provider Thimble  launched a ChatGPT integration that allows brokers, agencies, and embedded insurance partners to generate real time commercial insurance quotes, compare coverage options, and streamline underwriting workflows directly within ChatGPT.

The integration is designed to support commercial insurance distribution by enabling users to access Thimble’s quoting and underwriting capabilities through conversational prompts. According to the company, the tool is “designed for brokers, agencies, and embedded insurance experiences.”

Thimble joins a growing group of insurance companies experimenting with AI-powered distribution and underwriting experiences through ChatGPT and other conversational interfaces.

Other examples in the space include Cerity, which launched digital workers’ compensation quoting capabilities, and Simply Business, which launched a business insurance app in ChatGPT in the U.S. alongside a separate version for the UK.
