German Insurtech Partners With Eintracht Frankfurt

German insurer Deutsche Familienversicherung (DFV) and German sports club Eintracht Frankfurt have entered into a long-term premium partnership. The cooperation, which runs until the 2022/2023 season, supports the innovative partnership model of Eintracht Frankfurt, which no longer focuses solely on classic advertising rights. DFV is also the official insurance partner of the Bundesliga club.

“We have ambitious goals at Eintracht Frankfurt and in the coming years we want to develop into a top club in Germany, especially with regard to digitization. For this we need partners who think just as ambitious and innovative. We are all the more pleased to have a very special digital company on our side in the long term with Deutsche Familienversicherung.” – Axel Hellmann, CEO of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG, at the official contract signing.

Deutsche Familienversicherung has developed from an analogue insurance startup with classic communication channels to a fully digitized insurance company. DFV is the only independent company in the industry with its headquarters in Frankfurt. The focus of the cooperation with Eintracht Frankfurt is on the digital distribution of communications products and joint event formats.

“Deutsche Familienversicherung is reliable, digital and fast growing. For eleven years on the market, we are profitable and a functioning Insurtech company .” – Dr. Stefan M. Knoll, Chairman of the Board and founder of DFV.

“We look forward to a comprehensive and long-term partnership between two internationally active brands that also have a strong regional base and a very high digital affinity. The individual and innovative service package places particular emphasis on digital activation in the B2B and B2C areas.” – Marc Hassenzahl, Senior Director Team Eintracht Frankfurt at Lagardère Sports Germany.
