Stephen Leguillon joins Seyna as CEO
Insurance-as-a-service French startup Seyna announced that Stephen Leguillon is joining the company as CEO while Philippe Mangematin is stepping back from day-to-day activities and will become an Honorary President of the company.
In November 2019, the company obtained its insurance carrier license by the ACPR, making Seyna the first independent property & casualty insurer created since 1983. Seyna has built 20 P&C insurance products in 2020, including rent guarantee, pet insurance, ticket cancellation and mechanical breakdown. The company does not sell insurance directly, instead it partners with other companies that offer Seyna’s insurance products under their own brands.
“Seyna wants to be the insurance creation, management and distribution infrastructure of tomorrow’s economy. Companies of all sizes, from start-ups to large corporations, will be able to use Seyna’s software, APIs and services to create insurance products, distribute them to their clients and manage contracts”. – Stephen Leguillon Seyna’s CEO.
Since its inception in 2018, Seyna has raised €14 million from Global Founders Capital, Allianz France, Financière Saint James and business angels in the sector.
