SecurityScorecard acquires Driftnet

Cybersecurity company SecurityScorecard acquired Driftnet , a company focused on internet scanning and threat intelligence, to expand its third party risk management capabilities.

The acquisition will integrate Driftnet’s internet discovery engine into SecurityScorecard’s TITAN AI platform, allowing security, threat hunting, and vendor risk teams to identify exposed infrastructure and supplier risks in real time. According to the announcement, SecurityScorecard recently identified more than 816,000 internet exposed AI OpenClaw agent deployments using Driftnet’s technology.

Driftnet’s scanning technology includes non standard port enumeration, advanced fingerprinting, and IPv6 focused discovery capabilities designed to uncover misconfigured or exposed infrastructure that may not appear in traditional vendor risk assessments.

SecurityScorecard has existing insurance industry partnerships and customer relationships tied to cyber underwriting and risk analytics, including collaborations with Aon, Willis Towers Watson, Marsh, AXA, and Embroker. The company’s technology is used across cyber insurance underwriting, cyber risk quantification, and risk mitigation workflows.

The deal will help unify threat intelligence, security operations, and third party risk management workflows by giving teams access to the same real time exposure data and remediation processes.
