SafetyWing announces its second product Remote Health

Palo Alto-based SafetyWing , “the first global safety net for remote companies, online freelancers, and entrepreneurs,” has announced its second product Remote Health, a global health insurance built specifically for remote teams.

The company’s first product is a travel and medical coverage for unexpected illness or injury, including eligible expenses for hospital, doctor or prescription drugs and is offered by Tokio Marine HCC. It includes a $250 deductible and a $250,000 maximum limit.

Last year SafetyWing raised $3.5 million in a seed round bringing its total funding to date to $4.1 million since launching its business in 2017. The company is a team of 18.
